TfL Pension Fund – Impact of furloughing as announced by TfL

There is no impact to the way your pension continues to build up under the TfL Pension Fund if you are furloughed.

Your pension is calculated based on your pensionable service and your pensionable salary. For more information about how your pension is calculated, please see the member guide.

If you are furloughed:

• You will continue to receive full pay. This means your pensionable salary will remain the same as it would have had you not been furloughed
• You will remain a TfL employee. This means your pensionable service will continue to accrue in the same way as it would have had you not been furloughed
• Your contributions to the Pension Fund will not change, they will continue to be calculated and deducted in the normal way
